Veterans and their families have unique rights and challenges. We’re here to help you get the legal support you need.
Take the following steps to receive free legal resources and support:
Step 1: Complete the ‘Legal Help Quiz’ in the next section.
Take this quiz to find the best options for receiving legal help. The quiz will match you with legal resources tailored to help veterans and their families. The result of the quiz is your “Resource Profile”.
Quiz: What are my legal options?
Step 2: Save, email, or print your Resource Profile.

Step 3: If your income qualifies, then complete the Application for Legal Representation. If it doesn’t, go to Step 4.
If your Resource Profile says [TBD depending on the Resource Profile format], then you qualify for free legal services. Fill out the Application for Legal Representation. Use the instructions in Step 2 to attach a copy of your Resource Profile to the application.
Step 4: Review the self-help resources and other ways to get help.
If your Resource Profile shows that you don’t qualify for free legal help, you can look at the Legal Resource Directory to find information and other resources that might help with your legal needs.
